Have you ever thought that your mobile phone could be a nice companion for good, old-fashioned classic books reading? This is what Italians could get now on standard memory cards for mobile phones with "Playlibro" (literally a "playbook"): this is a truly mobile audio book engineered by Neos and offered on the initiative of publishing and media leader RCS group companies RCS Libri and RCS
Broadcast through the FM station Play Radio. The first mobile audio book is being launched now at the "Salone del Libro", the giant-size book fair and book lovers gathering held annually in Torino. The first issue is for a real, ever best-selling classic, Jonathan Livingston Seagull (in Italian: "Il gabbiano Jonathan Livingston") by Richard Bach. The audio text is available on a 128 megabyte RS-MMC (reduced size MultiMedia Card); the package includes also an adaptor for the MMS format and will be on sale at bookshops, computer and mobile phone shops. The news is also on dispaly on the main Italian daily "Corriere della Sera" portal (for Italian readers only ;)
